Bio
Lisbet is a third-year Dual Master’s Student in Public Health and Latin American Studies, who’s research is focusing on Indigenous women’s access to health services in Oaxaca.
She has been funded by the CHHS award 2023-2024, Graduate Student Travel Grant Fall 2023, the Tinker Grant 2022-2023, and a LT Florence B. Chloe Memorial Endowed Scholarship Spring 2024.
She has worked in community organizations that focuses on improving Latino health and well-being such as Casa Familiar in San Ysidro, Oficina de la Mujer in Guatemala, and currently as a Contracted Regional Coordinator with Latino Coalition for a Healthy California focusing on reaching the Latino community in San Diego to share community resources through networking and virtual educational workshops; in addition to her role of Research Assistant with Faith in Action in the Program Evaluation team by leading outreach, measurements events, and leading Promotora Coordination for measurements ad interviews.
