Congratulations to MA student Athena Cisneroz on receiving the Master’s Research Scholarship (MRS).  Students nominated for this award demonstrate excellence and show great potential in their field.

Athena has been a great example of research and scholarly productivity during her first year as an MA student. In addition to her coursework, full-time TAship, and thesis research, Athena is leading one manuscript and collaborating as a co-author on two others.

She networks with researchers both in our lab and beyond to participate in research and publishing relevant to her research interests. During her first year as an MA student, she has presented at three conferences (S3, Western Psychological Association, and Appearance Matters), including one international conference.

She has been a leader on our Conmigo research team, helping with both qualitative and quantitative data collection and management.
