Bio
Dr. Formagini earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Psychology from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Policy and Management from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
Dr. Formagini is an NIH-funded T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Integrated Cardiovascular Epidemiology Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego’s Department of Family Medicine. Her research centers on addressing health disparities faced by Latines and other vulnerable communities in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and chronic conditions.
Dr. Formagini’s primary career goal is to advance individual, community, and population health through behavior change and epidemiology research.
